Every now and then, a product comes along that we get properly excited about. The kind of thing that ticks all the boxes: health, flavour, sustainability, fairness, and a story that warms the heart as much as the food warms your belly.
Say hello to La Fontana
This extraordinary, organic extra virgin olive oil. Possibly the best thing to happen to your salad since tomatoes were first sliced. Grown in Ciociaria, a lush, ancient region just southeast of Rome, La Fontana comes from a single estate surrounded by volcanic soils and sun-drenched hillsides. It’s one of those places where nature just gets it right — and the olives seem to know it.
But this isn’t your average olive oil. These olives are early harvested (which gives them their punchy kick), organically grown, and packed with polyphenols — those clever little compounds known for their antioxidant power. EU regulations say olive oil needs 250mg/kg of polyphenols to count as “healthy.” La Fontana boasts over 800mg/kg. That’s not just healthy — that’s heroic.
So what does it taste like?
Imagine fresh-cut grass. Tomato vines. Green almond. A kick of peppery spice – the kind that hits the back of your throat in the best way. It’s like liquid green gold — bold, bright, and beautifully balanced.
Even better? It’s affordable. Most oils in this high-polyphenol league cost twice the price, but La Fontana was created with community in mind. The folks behind it are a small, passionate UK–Italian microbusiness: just four friends with a shared dream. Committed to giving part of our profits to support the local Cultural Association who work tirelessly to maintain ancient traditions through activities and festivals, in their corner of Italy. It’s a delicious kind of activism — one drizzle at a time.

So whether you’re dressing your greens, dipping your sourdough, or just sipping it neat like the true olive oil connoisseurs do (we won’t judge), La Fontana is the kind of treat your kitchen deserves.
Old’s cool, after all.
There’s a better way to eat.
